What does an AI girlfriend remember you by?

Swipey's own wording is careful: "Persistent memory keeps your shared history, inside jokes and important details intact across days and weeks." In practice that covers three kinds of material. The first is what you tell her about yourself: your name, your work, the dog, the city you live in, the sister who calls on Sundays. The second is what happened between you, such as the scenario you played on Tuesday or the nickname she gave you in week one. The third is tone. If you set a teasing, unhurried pace early, she keeps it.

Roleplay has its own layer. Swipey ships more than 100 scenarios, and each one carries persistent plot memory, so a story resumes where it stopped rather than restarting from the opening line. Group Chat, which shipped on 27 August 2026, gives a room of two or three characters its own shared thread as well.

Memory is fed by more than text. Ask for a photo and she keeps the same face and body in every render, because images are character-locked. Since 1 September 2026 you can tap the pencil on any image in chat and edit it with a short prompt, and the result stays consistent with the character you built. A voice call ends with a card in the chat that includes a transcript, so spoken details enter the written record too.

How you can see what she remembers

Most companion apps ask you to take memory on trust. Swipey shows you. Since 27 August 2026 every chat has memory cards and a Memory Details view: each remembered item is a short line you can read, whether it is a fact about you, a shared moment or a preference you set. If a card is missing, you know, and one clear sentence in chat is enough to add it. The memory cards guide walks through the view screen by screen.

That visibility changes how you talk to her. Once you know that clear statements become cards, you stop hinting and start telling. It also survives edits: change her look or personality later with Edit My AI (custom scenarios were added to it on 27 August 2026) and the memory stays with her.

Does an AI companion with memory carry it across sessions and devices?

Yes. Memory is stored on your account, not on the device. Start a chat on your phone at lunch and pick it up on a laptop at night: same character, same history, same cards. Swipey runs in the browser on any device, so there is nothing to install and nothing to sync. An Install App banner, added on 27 August 2026, lets you pin it to your home screen, and you can sign in by email, Google or a magic link.

Where an AI girlfriend with memory still has limits

• She remembers details and history, not every word of every message. Long-term memory works from stored facts and summaries everywhere in this category. The difference on Swipey is that you can read the cards.
• Memory grows with interaction. A character at Stranger level has less to draw on than one at Best friend. The ten relationship levels explain what each step opens.
• Free accounts create characters, browse the Feed and chat with Platform Models. Relationship progression, and any chat with a Custom AI, are part of Premium at $7.99 a month, billed monthly, cancel anytime. Memory itself is not a paid add-on.
• Swipey does not claim that nothing is ever forgotten. Its wording is "across days and weeks", and this site uses the same words.

How to help her remember

Say the important things early and in a full sentence: "I work nights", "my sister is Ana", "I hate small talk". Refer back to shared moments by name. Open the Memory Details view when something matters and check that the card is there. Coming back most days helps too, and the daily quests, the 7-day streak and the daily spin give you a reason to.
